FAQ

  • What is GCSOA?

GCSOA is the the Greater Cleveland Soccer Officials’ Association.  GCSOA is dedicated to providing services to its members for officiating of OHSAA soccer games.

  • How do I become a member?

Please refer to the ‘Join’ page for instructions on how to become a GCSOA member.

  • Is there a fee to join?

Yes.  The yearly membership fee is $30. This membership gives you access to meetings to help you achieve your meeting requirements (4 per year, at a cost of $10 per meeting without membership) to retain your OHSAA Officiating Permit and be eligible for postseason assignments, grants you voting rights, and grants you membership to one of the largest and most decorated referee associations in  Ohio.

  • Do I have to join an association to be a OHSAA Referee?

No, you do not have to join.  However, you are required to attend 4 Local Meetings per year, at a cost of $10 per meeting.  A GCSOA membership gives you a discount on that total cost.
